I was called on the Wednesday invited for a interview on the Friday.
I was sent a email telling me what i needed to prepare. I will copy and paste ....
*It is therefore helpful if you would bring the following items with you to interview.
An up to date CV detailing all your previous work history
Your passport and Visa if applicable
Driving licence
Your National Insurance number
SIA badge (if applicable)
2 proofs of address (acceptable documents:- utility bill ie. gas/electric, water, council tax and bank statement - dated within 3 months)
Names and contact details of 2 referees, (2 most recent employers)
Failure to provide all ID will result in no interview and applicants will be turned down.**
As i had no paper form of these documents I went to have these printed out to take with me to my interview.
The interview was 15 minutes long and I was asked 5 main questions. I felt the interview went very well and I was told I would be called whether I had been successful or not on the following Tuesday. I asked if they wanted to see my documents I prepared and they said they were not needed at this stage.
As I had been told in the email I would be turned down for a interview if I did not have them I was frustrated that I had wasted my time. I didnt hear anything back from them so on on the following Friday I sent a email to ask the status and was told the position had been given to a internal candidate. Which was lies as the position was re-advertised the day before (Thursday)
I would have appreciated being told the truth. After getting the candidates mixed up, my name wrong, the salary wrong and no follow up i feel a sense of unprofessionalism
