Made it to "semifinalist round" where I was extended an offer to conduct zoom interview with a few senior program staff, but dropped out after accepting a different offer. This was after submitting a virtual interview, which was very intuitive and gracious in unlimited time to prepare answers before submission.
They have you do a video interview first. From there you move onto in person interviews with different team members. One of the final rounds involved a writing assignment to see how you would perform the job.

Question 1
What is one issue in the humanities you find really important right now?
I applied online. I interviewed at Mellon Foundation in Mar 2024
Interview
I applied online and received an email that I made it to the first round which consisted of a one-sided interview that we had only a little over three days to complete. For the interview we had to answer four questions, but were allowed unlimited takes. This was a stressful process that took well over five hours to complete. Even after all the time spent crafting answers and re-receding takes so it would be half decent, no one from Mellon ever followed up. Based on other posts it seems like this is normal behavior from them.
