Interview
The interview with the human resource manager was mostly focused on my attitude towards kids of different ages (teen can be often challenging) and my ability to manage difficult situations.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mercer Island School District (Mercer Island, WA) in June 2013
Interview
It was a two stage interview process. The first was a screening interview at the District office with a Principal and two teachers. Neither the Principal nor the teachers were from the school that I was applying for. This interview was quite short and generic. A few days later I was called back for a second interview at my desired school. The Principal, a Special Education teacher, and two teachers from the team I would be joining participated. There were 8 questions and the interview lasted about 45 minutes. The hiring decision was made within a week.
