Question 1
What experience do i have. What I can I bring to the company. What makes me a good fit the position.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Merit Brass (Richmond Heights, Cuyahoga, OH) in July 2016
Interview
They bring you out to this warehouse building in the middle of the suburbs but surrounded by fields so it's a lowkey type area which personally I liked (felt more comfortable, not too many distractions. You sign in at this really cool lobby area they have in the front. Then the the hiring manager brings you through the offices back to the warehouse and starts the interview with a tour. He shows you all the products they carry all the different work areas and briefly describes your duties. He seemed to want me to ask questions, because after every sentence he asked "Any questions?" which felt a little redundant as if I'm not paying attention. I did not get offered the job, from what i understand after talking to the HR lady, in the manager's notes he wrote that I 'Asked about the weight of an item and he became concerned I wasn't ready for the job'. I thought it was reasonable but anyway it's an interesting place but it seems they are super selective about hiring. The job I believe is still open and that day he told me he had 3 more people showing up so they must be looking for some hidden talent that nobody seems to have. Like I said you can apply but watch what you say and be prepared to start right away if you get an offer.
