I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Merrick Systems (Calgary, AB) in Sept 2013
Interview
I met my current boss while working at my previous position. He was looking for a recruiter to help him find an employee for a new office. He asked me to join the team during the process. *My situation was extremely ATYPICAL of their hiring process.
I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Merrick Systems (Houston, TX) in July 2011
Interview
Applied for the position through my University's student career's website. Received a call 2 weeks later for invitation to interview. I was advised of the two people I interviewed with. Neither was present when I arrived. Receptionist had to contact someone else who wasn't in the office at the time to come in to interview me, which caused me to have to wait an additional 45 minutes. During that time another candidate arrived who had been scheduled for an at the same time... Once the person arrived interview went well, stated he liked my work history, credentials, asked basic questions.
I then received a call 2 days later inviting me to interview with 3 different people The had also scheduled the same guy that was at the first interview to at the same time again. So it appeared that we were being shuffled between the 3 individuals who were interviewing at the same time (approx 30-45 minutes each). They also asked the basic interview questions and also provided a lot more information about the nature of the business, the job specifically, and also typical career paths. One of them had asked some questions regarding my experience with some specific software applications which was expert level. Each interviewer had told me that they felt that I was exactly the type of candidate that they were looking for .One even specifically told me that the time frame that they were looking to make a decision, and that if I hadn't heard anything by the following week to send him an email.
Two more weeks went by with no response. I emailed the interviewer who had made the suggestion, never received a response. Contacted the office 2 weeks later and was told that they hadn't made a decision yet, but a "project" was currently being worked on. To date no communication from them
