Sales Operations Program Manager, SMB North America Interview

      13 Feb 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Meta in Jan 2018

      Interview

A friend of mine referred me for the role. Soon after, I received a mail from the recruiter who informed me that she received my resume. Pleasantries out of the way, I offered the recruiter suitable times for a call, along with my number. She confirmed the time for the following week. When the time came around the recruiter failed to call me. When I queried if she was ready as I thought it may have slipped her mind, she responded that I did not offer my number and that “she cannot call international”. This left me somewhat perplexed. My number was provided both in our e-mail correspondence and in my resume. Furthermore, if the recruiter could not find my number how did she know it had an international dialing code? I responded with my number again and suggested a skype call seeing as she was unable to dial international. I did not receive a response. After interjection from my friend/the recruiter’s colleague, the recruiter finally responded with the following: “I replied to your previous message about doing a Skype call and suggesting that we will not do Skype but that we can do a BJN call interview. Please check your junk mail.” No such mail was found in my junk mail, or any other folder as a matter of fact but I let it slide. We organized another time for the BJN call which went ahead as planned and was a fairly straight forward screening interview describing the role and my experience. The recruiter told me she would get back to me with feedback in a day or two. Two weeks later, the recruiter informed me that I would not be moving forward in the hiring process. An absolute shambles from start to finish.
