I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta (New York, NY) in July 2021
Interview
Talk to the recruiter. Coding interview. Then, final round of technical and product interviews.
The coding interview was an hour coding solutions to questions with a set of tests that have to pass to ensure your code is working on various edge cases.
The final round of interviews was long. Three technical interviews each an hour long and one half an hour interview on more general subjects.
The questions were challenging but the interviewers were very kind and had a excellent collaborative attitude.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One question they asked was what do I think data engineering is. I think when applying for this role you should have a good sense of the data engineering ecosystem and opportunities and what it means to different people as well as what it means to you.
I applied online. I interviewed at Meta (New York, NY)
Interview
Prepare technical concepts, and practice previously asked questions as much as you can find online. 4 rounds in the total process. It's easy as long as you just practice a LOT.
I had Python and SQL round for 30 minutes each. The interview was for 1 hour 30 minutes for SQL and 30 mins for python coding.
Completed 5 questions each but still got rejection email the next day.
