I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta in Oct 2021
Interview
I applied in October with referral. I was reached out by the recruiter within 2 weeks. We scheduled a first interview, algo. I got feedback within 2 days, scheduled onsite interviews: 2 algo and one with manager. I solved all of the problems, but sometimes had small issues with corner cases. Interview with manager was mostly about behavioural questions you get also in other companies - but this time interviewer was very inquisitive, wasn't satisfied with very general answers, but wanted to know my real motives.
Everyone was super friendly and humanly.
The downside is, you cannot negotiate a grad offer, which really surprised me - I thought it wasn't the case until very recently.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Every single one of them was on leetcode top facebook questions.
Behavioural included talking about your motivations, your most interesting projects, describe a situation when you were in conflict with someone from your team, etc.
There were an excessive amount of rounds with a high difficulty of questions for a new grad role. Everyone I spoke too was very friendly though! Study hard and you may be okay.
Asked me two leetcode hard style questions and I knew it was over for me. Interviewer was nice and tried to guide me along the right path but the question just wasnt clicking with me.
2 tech, 1 behavioral
Tech were basic LC questions mostly from Meta tagged
Behavioral was also standard tell me about a time questions and deep dive into a project. A tech person was taking my behavioral, so went deep into why I used that tech and similar questions
