I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Meta in June 2017
Interview
I was contacted by a FB recuiter. It was really nice and great person to talk to and could really sense that they truly want you to prepare well and give your best shot. Was told that the phone screen would be 1hr interview where- There is a 15 mins 'Tell me about Yourself' followed by 45 mins 'Think aloud , write and explain your code' and 5 mins of 'ask any Q about FB'.
The interviewer called up 5 mins late of scheduled time. Started directly with coding Q. Had a very thick accent and took about 15 mins to explain and clarify the question. It was a resonably challenging problem. 15 mins into the interview and he said you have 5 mins more, do you have any question to me or about FB.
It felt really rushed and got a panic attack. I was terribly disappointed and hung up the interview aghast. I wish I had taken onsite option for the phone screening.
