I had contaced HR in the local office first, no reply, then I got in touch with one of my LI contacts at their HQs. In total I had 3 interviews within 6 months before a position was available. I met first members of the staff, including the person whose position was later available. Also had to have an interview with the CEO in their HQs via Skype. HR took care of the other staff such as salary & benefits negotiations.
