I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Metro Boston (New York, NY) in July 2018
Interview
Had a phone interview and two in-person interviews. Phone interview and first in-person were typical "get to know you" conversations with their internal recruiter and a senior manager, respectively. Second in-person was with an external consultant, who submitted seven questions prior to the interview. Three of the questions were mildly probing, making inquiry into various aspects of my background. The other four questions were repetitive of what was asked in the phone interview and first in-person, with two of the four questions asking essentially the same thing. It seemed as if the "consultant" had neither reviewed the notes from the previous interviews nor corresponded with the previous interviewers. In the actual in-person, the "consultant" was aggressive and rude, frequently interrupting my responses and questioning the veracity of the same. It felt much more like an interrogation than an interview. He appeared out of his depth in discussing advanced financial concepts and was unable to develop a line of questioning relating to the skill set one would anticipate in a Business Operations role. Despite this bizarre experience, I sent the customary followup "thank you" emails to both the "consultant" and the internal recruiter, receiving no response from either. I think that's called "ghosting".
