      Interview for Proofreader Job Interview

      29 May 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Metrodigi (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2015

      Interview

I applied for a contract job through a recruiter who seemed desperate to fill a proofreading position at Metrodigi. I learned that the reason they were desperate to fill the job was due to a high turnover for this particular position. The interesting thing is that I never actually interviewed with anyone at Metrodigi either in person or by phone. It was all handled by the recruiter. Then one, I was just told to "show up." I declined the position due to bait and switch concerning the salary. We had previously agreed on a set hourly rate, however, on the day I was told to show, I learned that my earnings would be substantially less. I declined the job at that point.
