This is a follow up to the review from October 13, where I was very general, and received a response from Meyer Labs saying that the owner wanted me to call so he could "apologize".
I saw the response in glassdoor, and called on October 31st and gave my information, including contact info again. I heard nothing until Friday, November3rd, when an Assistant called me and said that the owner wanted to speak with me, but was in meetings, busy, etc.....could he call next week. I said that was no problem. After an entire week with no response, I called again the week of November 13th. I was told to call back 4 different times that he would be available, and each time he was not. I left a message on his voice mail on November 21st or so, and heard nothing. I even waited a few more days (today is 11/25) before responding here again.
I still have not heard from anyone except a very friendly assistant, regarding the feedback they claim to have wanted.
At this point, especially after reading the review that was given shortly after mine, I would caution anyone against joining this company. My interview was not taken seriously, I was told one thing and another thing happened, much as the other candidate expressed, and not once did the person I was "riding with" want to talk about the role I was interviewing for. The ad and both phone interviews stressed leadership abilities and such experience, yet when I would ask questions about the region or leadership position I was put off, and told about the training process which involved acting as a sales rep for a 6 month period. The interviewer was not interested in anything other than immediate need to fill a missing sales rep position. There were many other red flags.
This was a negative experience, and the thing it, the company had the ability to make this a positive one, but chose to ignore it, after asking for feedback. No one is so busy that they can't find 15 minutes for a phone conversation over a 25 day timespan. Unless it doesn't matter.
