I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Michaels (Palm Coast, FL) in June 2012
Interview
The interview process was great. I had fast response time from the moment I submitted an application to the moment I was hired. Within two days, the hiring manager called me and two days after the interview I was in training and began work. The questions were basic for any retail store, laying out what you would do if you had down time in the store, why you want to work in a craft store, and things of the like. I felt comfortable and confident with the hiring manager and as long as you keep a positive attitude and seem eager and able to tackle any potential tasks, you are good to go.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
All of the questions presented during the interview process were easy and clearly explained.
Just asked me my availability, why I want to work here, and about myself. It was super chill and the manager was nice too. Went in for a day and got shown to the backroom and it was a 10 minute experience. Afterwards they showed me around the store.

Interview
Basic interview processes with questions like how do you work with a team, can you be flexible in your work, the hours you can work, your learnability, a time you dealt with an unhappy customer
The interview was very relaxed but was in a professional setting. Nice managers and co workers. They were very friendly to talk to. Many were eager to answer any questions that I may have about the process or the job itself
