I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Micro Center
Interview
After submitting a paper application (since then, it's web-based), I was contacted via email for an in-store interview. Was interviewed by store GM and dept. manager. Took 10 minutes.

Question 1
A test was taken after the interview with a variety of computer related questions.
Came around 10 minutes early, but the person who was to interview me completely forgot so we started pretty late. The oral presentations was fairly short; though the questions taken on the computer took quite a while. I never received a call back, probably because I said I would not be able to work certain days due to my student status.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Micro Center (Houston, TX) in July 2012
Interview
I applied online and was contacted about 1 month later for a 1-on-1 interview. The interview process was not intimidating or cumbersome. The whole thing was pretty straight forward and the hiring manager was friendly too. I was asked about my prior experience in sales and other hypothetical situations related to the job.
