      Software Engineer Interview

      22 Oct 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Phoenix, AZ
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Microchip Technology (Phoenix, AZ) in Jan 2017

      Interview

The interview process was fairly nice and I was asked many general question on my experience and the courses I had taken. The people were nice to me and also gave me a tour to the building. I cleared all the rounds, and was given the offer letter. I had just started to negotiate and ask for student allowance, when they disappeared! They stop responding to my emails. When I tried to contact the head of the department, they told me that they had chosen someone else for that position and that they are no longer looking for anyone. That was weird for me as I had their offer letter and it was my decision to take. They never informed me about their decision and moved on. I was startled and shocked by such behavior.
