I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Micron Technology
Interview
1. HR reviewed application and called me for an hour interview. Asked me about job search status, explained the role with
basic details, asked me why I thought memory technology was interesting.
2. Moved it to Manager in a week, interview over phone with manager for an hour, basic technical questions and mostly questions on academic and professional experiences.
3. On-site Interviews scheduled after 2 weeks, challenging 6 hrs of interview with 5 engineers and the hiring manager (ASIC design, Semiconductor Fabrication Process, CMOS design, Test and Debug, C and Perl programming, RLC circuits, Capacitance, Analog Filters and theory, NAND/DRAM/SRAM, Memory classifications, Transistor leakage) Draw/write solutions on whiteboard. Some interviewers had printed questions and code excerpts.
4. Positive experience, 3 business day follow-up. Received verbal offer from HR at the end of 3rd business day
Interview questions [6]
Question 1
Describe the types of leakage that occur in transistors at nanometer channel lengths?
Design logic circuit from a given RTL code. Identify fault paths in a given logic circuit. Draw output waveform of given logic circuit and input waveform. Draw output waveform in sequential logic with given setup-and-hold times and clock skew
