I originally applied for another position that was more entry-level. I was contacted the day after to let me know my salary request was out of the range. I asked them to keep me on file in case there are other openings I might be qualified for. I was then granted a phone interview and a chance to answer more questions online. I was eventually offered a chance to interview for an Online Marketing Sales Professional position with the COO, John Bialous. I was sent an invite with a Google Hangouts invite. Shortly before, it was requested I move the interview up one hour. I was ready at the time and was in the Hangout for 10 minutes and no one joined. I emailed the recruiter and she told me the time was back to its original slot. I was a little annoyed by this as had been sitting and waiting. Back at the original time, I was logged into Hangout and I got a call a few minutes after the designated time, but the COO didn't login for the Hangout he sent. The impression given was that there were openings for the position...especially since it's shown online constantly...but once I explained what I currently do the tone immediately turned to "upcoming opportunities" and John was a little short. The call ended very soon after that. It was clear that no further steps from me are needed or desired. This doesn't bother me.
