I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Miles IT
Interview
The interview was a one way interview. You are asked a question through a prerecorded video and then you record your response to the questions. There were about ten questions some technical some personal. The questions were very open ended which made them difficult for me especially as someone trying to break into the field.
I am sorry that you did not enjoy your interview experience with us. We will continue to work to incorporate feedback from candidates, with the goal of continual improvement of the interview process and candidate experience. We strive to make Miles IT a great place to work and interview with. Please feel free to contact us so we can directly address your concerns.

Interview
Applied online.
Even though inherit issue with virtual interviews, did it anyway just to see.
To prepare prior to recording, did a search on the types of questions. Wrote out my answers in detail.
Only 2 questions asked that did not show up in a search: Tell me about your high school and college experience. In hindsight, if I had said I was on the debate team or participated in robotics in school I may have fared better. I mean really, what are you people looking for? I went through all of their videos. I even went so far as to look at the product through their university. More on that in a minute.
After virtual, sent my written answers to the recruiter.
There were 3 recruiters. I never got an answer back why I was being contacted by 3 separate people. That was a red flag for a broken process.
Then, I contacted their support people when the university video's failed to launch. I was told to contact their vendor. Vendor told me to contact Striven. All pointing at my environment because of course if it works in their environment it's not broken.
I've spent a number of years in IT from programming to technical support to actually owning the applications from a technical perspective. I came away from this experience not being mad about yet another rejection even though I could do the job and add value. But my feeling is that if you don't have a pedigree/advanced degree and you don't do well in virtual interviews (they don't allow enough time to actually record what they consider important technical questions - blue ball of light/ET phone home) then you are not qualified.
Their application system only allows 1 application at a time and they don't achieve existing applications for you to look at later).
So now I've tested your crap process, still think I'm unqualified. Okay, your loss, I dodged a bullet. Thanks for playing.

Question 1
The blue ball of light/ET phone home question.
How does email work.
Internet slowness.
And all the other questions you can find through Gemini/ChatGPT.
Tell me about your high school/college experiences. Please this alone gives you a clue they don't want anyone older than the hiring manager is. So silly and limited ability to think.
