It seems they base their hiring decisions more on who they like that what on the candidate's skillset.
Here's a pratical example: I was rejected in the final phase for my lack of expertise in tech recruitment/ sourcing - although I had many years in TA, none of them were specifically in tech which is a completely valid reason for a rejection.
However, I later found out the person they hired has no experience in recruitment or sourcing.
How do you reject a person for not having specific experience in one domain of recruitment and then hire a candidate with no experience in recruitment at all?
