      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Mirror in Dec 2020

      Interview

Sent a written exercise for step 1 of the interview process. 2 weeks go by and nothing, even after a follow up email. During this time when people are counting on round 1 interviews to lead to possible employment it's extremely unprofessional. It takes just a minute to send out a standard rejection email.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Mirror (New York, NY) in Sept 2020

      Interview

I applied to Mirror in mid-August. Just over a month later, I received an email inviting me to continue the hiring process with a written assessment. (As a sort of minor side note, the email appeared to come from one person, but the actual email address was another person's name, and the email was signed from "MIRROR Member Experience Hiring Team." Not the end of the world, but it did make it impossible to respond in a personal way!) They requested that I complete the assessment within 48 hours. I spent about an hour on it and sent it back less than 90 minutes after they emailed me. I followed up with a note that I was excited to hear from them, enjoyed the exercise, and was looking forward to hearing next steps. A week and a half later, I followed up once more to check in and ask if they had an estimated timeline for their hiring process. And then, my friends, I was completely ghosted. That was three weeks ago. I honestly have held off writing this because I was so sure there was NO WAY that could possibly be what was happening. I think I did a killer job on the assessment, but even if I hadn't or just simply wasn't the right fit for their team, there is zero excuse for not following up with a candidate after you've engaged them in the process beyond just the application. It takes only a moment and the alternative is so inconsiderate, especially after asking that they spend time on a written exercise.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Mirror (New York, NY)

      Interview

I had a phone interview, 3 rounds of video interviews, and a writing assignment. Everyone was extremely friendly, but I was discouraged by the lack of organization. Nearly every person showed up late to the scheduled calls and there was way too much time in between interviews. The first email was sent in June and I was sent an extremely generic rejection letter (after following up multiple times after weeks of silence) with no feedback in late August. Seems like a cool company, but they could benefit from better organization.
