Top five worst interviews. Millipore Sigma recently acquired them, making it difficult to gauge the company culture and team dynamics.
I initially met with a talent advisor who did not give me with the best impression. Despite their apparent doubt in my qualifications, they pushed me through to the next round of interviews. I spoke with the director, who came across condescending and was difficult to connect with. It became evident during the interview that they were not planning to follow up, which made the whole experience unpleasant.
I feel as though people forget that interviews are meant to be two-way. As I suspected, I was no longer considered a candidate after the second interview. I received a very impersonal and automated email informing me of this. I reached out to the recruiter in hopes of getting some feedback on how to improve, but I received a very vague response. I tried to follow up with specific questions, but never heard back. The whole experience was very off-putting.

Question 1
They asked me what cell lines I’ve worked with before.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mirus in Feb 2023
Interview
The interview process was a bit tedious. Because it is a smaller company I can see why the process takes so long. The entire hiring process took about 1 month.

Question 1
They asked about my experience and how it will translate to working for Mirus.
scheduled a interview with the assistant hiring manager, for a screening interview. Had to move my schedule around to make it work only for them to cancel on me before they even gave me a chance. The reason being is that they had too many applicants and I didn’t have a biology degree. This wasn’t for a technical position but a sales position. I have a degree in Sales.
Don’t bother applying if you don’t have a Bio degree.
My advice to the company:
You should know your filters ahead of time so things like this don’t happen, or at least go through with the scheduled interview and turn me down then.
