I was called by MSSU to schedule an interview for an open position they had for Director of Academic Support Services. The position requires a masters (prefers a doctorate), five years of experience, specific experience in student affairs, and collegiate teaching experience. I was also notified that the pay for the position was $48,000 and was non-negotiable. It's pretty clear that MSSU cannot afford the kind of talent they are asking for, so I find it pretty professionally insulting they don't 1) post the pay with the position and 2) value their employees enough to pay what a position is worth. I subsequently informed the person that called I was not interested in the position
