Senior Communication Trainer / Communication Trainer Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Mitsogo (Chennai) in Apr 2026

      Interview

In April, 2026, I was initially considered for a Communication Trainer role and was later told that my profile may be more suitable for a senior communication training role. The talent acquisition representative was polite in the beginning, but the overall process became increasingly unclear and poorly coordinated. The first HR discussion was scheduled and completed on April 10. After following up, another interview was arranged a week later with the COO (US-based stakeholder(. The interview was communicated at very short notice. I was also told that the job description could not be shared because it was an internal posting, which made it difficult to understand the actual expectations of the role. So, the second interview was scheduled for early morning on a Saturday due to the interviewer being based in the US. I joined the meeting on time and waited, but the interviewer did not turn up. I tried calling and messaging the talent acquisition representative. After some time, I was informed that they were trying to reach the interviewer , there was no answer from her end, and that the interview would need to be rescheduled. While an apology was given, there was no proper follow-up, no confirmed reschedule, and no closure. I followed up again later and was told they would try to reschedule, but nothing happened. A later follow-up also received no response. The most disappointing part was not merely that the interviewer did not attend. Unexpected issues can happen. The real issue was the lack of ownership after the no-show, the absence of a clear job description, repeated last-minute scheduling, and no proper closure despite the candidate making time at an inconvenient hour.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

One of the questions asked during the HR discussion was whether I had family or support in the relocation city, which felt personal and not clearly connected to the role. If the concern was relocation stability or long-term commitment, it could have been framed more professionally.
