Interview
It was a flexible process, went quickly and smoothly. I got to meet with my yet-to-be team mates, and had a great conversation with them. They were genuinely interested in me, my background, and what could I add to the team.

What do you think, where can you help us the most?
I submitted my application and received an automated message with incorrect information. I replied thinking I was moving onto the next phase, and responded really positively, only to receive a very curt message saying that I was not moving forward and that the previous email was a mistake. For a company that is very vocal about the positive environment they foster, I was really surprised at the lack of empathy in the email. As a bit of feedback - a company's culture doesn't begin when you sign a contract. It includes every touchpoint with users, potential employees, and anyone in between. I would take this situation and see how you can improve your communication with rejected candidates.

Interview
A couple of conversations with the founder, lead designer and a couple of drinks together with the team helped us determine whether we were a match for each other — culture-wise and skill-wise. And it worked out like a charm, after a couple of weeks I started working at a company I like to call home.
