I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MoneyLion (Kuala Lumpur) in Feb 2024
Interview
The overall interview process at MoneyLion was both efficient and professional. Feedback was provided promptly, in line with expectations or their agreed timeline. While detailed insights into the process flow can be found in other comments, I won't delve into that here.
For those approaching the final interview, especially from a data science background like myself, it's crucial to understand MoneyLion's emphasis on the impact of your projects. Reflecting on how your past experiences and projects address business problems and their impact is key. Personally, I believe my inability to detail these key points might have been a deciding factor in not receiving an offer. However, the feedback I received was truly insightful.
I plan to reapply for the position in 6 months, grateful for the time and attention MoneyLion dedicates to each candidate. It's commendable that the company invests significantly in the application process. Thank you for your dedication to all candidates, and keep up the good work!
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
"What is the impact of your project, how do you measure success, and what are your next steps after achieving success?"
"Given several methods to achieve an end goal, identify the pros and cons, costs, time spent, and the best way to measure outcomes. How do we decide which method performs better?"
The interview process was ridiculously long. It started with a casual chat with the team lead, followed by a recruiter call, a coding test, and then a take-home assessment (which I didn’t even bother completing). After that, there were still two additional interviews planned: one to present the assessment and another with the hiring manager.
