I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at MongoDB in Feb 2018
Interview
It started with a talk with the recruiter which was basic technical questions. Then few phone interviews were scheduled, of 1 hour each, with various team members doing the same job from different office locations around the world. Few more talks with the recruiters and I was then invited to their headquarter in New York for a set of 4 more interviews face to face which lasted about 4 hours.
The whole process took exceptionally long as they were doing to internal reorganization of the team at the same time.
The entire time the recruiter was very nice and kept constant contact with me to reassure me that everything was still going good.
All team members were also very nice peoples and their were no catch in any questions.
Even that the process was extremely long, the staff were always very professional.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most questions were scenarios that they might or not have seen.
Interviewer was late, not prepared, and ate during the interview! It was a surprise as this was after the first few rounds. All the other interviewers were very professional except one who unfortunately was maybe the decision maker. I know because the round stopped there
