I applied via a second party recruitment agency and was shortlisted for an interview with Morley College. Within the week of receiving an email confirmation having elected a time; I advised their external recruiter that I see yet to be sent the link for the virtual interview. The week had passed into the following Monday of which would be the Morning of the interview. However; I didn’t receive the link for the virtual teams interview up until 10 minutes before the interview was due to commence. I called the external recruiter but was unable to speak with them directly and so advised their colleague of the issue and stated I would email as well. Having prepared my email; the virtual invite suddenly appeared. This unfortunately showcases that there are evident disorganisation within the institution and my efforts of preparing for the interview; researching the organisation and its profile and the common courtesy of me taken tue initiative to advise them that I had taken another work task due to their failing to send me a link within a reason a timeline to reconfirm that it was indeed proceeding was not reciprocated. Employers often forget that as you are expected to present your best self within an interview setting; they too need to do the same. If you pay attention; a potential employer will showcase how they tend to operate within before you even step foot within their organisation.
