Technical interview involved 2 senior engineers and was 1 hour long- 30 min to complete task and 30 min for discussion. The prompt for the task was given ahead of time: create parser that formats data into json format. After finishing the task we discussed possible improvements /addressed areas to that could be made more efficient. They also asked more hypothetical questions about what changes to the parser would be needed if the input data format were different. Then there was time after the technical discussion for general questions about the team, company, agile practices etc.

Question 1
They asked about readFileSync() being used in order to consume large data in parts rather than at once as a whole.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Morning Consult in Nov 2022
Interview
It was a fair interview process. Not too long. After phone screen, met with hiring manager. Then did a technical assessment (system design). Finally I had two one hour interview sessions. One was more technical, asking about my past work. The other was more behavioral.
Multiple 1-2 hr rounds, a technical exercise. While it is a large time commitment, the people are friendly and the conversation is enjoyable. My only disappointment is that they didn't give a lot of feedback. I felt the interview went well, and they passed, which is fine, but I wish I had learned what skills they would have liked me to improve on.
