I went through two rounds of interviews via Zoom. The first was with the hiring manager, where I was given a general overview of working at Morningstar, team structure, what to expect, etc. Pretty standard, we went over my prior experience and familiarity with software. Second round interview involved two portions with two groups of interviewers -- a portfolio review with fellow designers and then a cultural/work-style panel with potential colleagues (non-design backgrounds). Honestly the interviews were fine, but it was dealing with Talent Acquisition/HR where I ran into my frustration. I never received any kind of follow-up post interview. After reaching out, I would receive generic responses asking me to wait 1-2 weeks for an update every time. After over two months post-interview, I never got a definitive response regarding a rejection. I only saw it after deciding to check the candidate portal. It was just disappointing considering I had finished two rounds of interviews only to be ghosted and ignored by HR.
