I interviewed at Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans
Interview
The interview process was long, certainly much longer than any process I’ve ever experienced. I interviewed with multiple people (sometimes the same person twice), filled out an application (odd, considering I already submitted an online application), had to submit additional paperwork after my first round of virtual interviews, spent 3 hours in onsite interviews and took 5 assessment tests. It was exhausting and, in my opinion, unnecessary. In my many years of experience in HR I’ve never managed nor participated in a recruiting process so lengthy. At some point it all seemed redundant and I couldn’t understand their recruitment strategy. I followed up with thank you emails, then I followed up asking about a timeline for a final decision. I was met with complete silence. I finally received a generic email stating I had not been selected for the role. It was frustrating and the process was inefficient.

Interview
The 45 minute video interview went well with Stephanie Havstad. Questions were standard. We hit it off and was sent an application to move forward in the interview process. I filled out the application and sent it back to her immediately on 03/18/25. It is now 04/02/25 and I’ve emailed her every couple of days since submitting my application. I have still not heard back from her. Instead, I get a generated email received yesterday from the company saying I am no longer considered for the role.
How does a company operate like this? Especially from a leader in Human Resources! You have real life people giving their time to interview. We are looking to provide for our families and you don’t have the decency to at least provide an update directly? This is not how you treat people and I’m glad that I dodged a bullet. Stephanie is not a good representative of your company.

Interview
Very long, took about 3 hour process. They need to shorten the process. They have you take three test, including a math test. If they like you, they offer the job on the spot. Once offered, you have to take a drug test.
