I applied online. I interviewed at Mott MacDonald (London, England) in Jan 2020
Interview
I was interviewed by 2 members of the London Build Environment team. The interview consisted of a range of strength based questions, some technical questions - bending moment and shear force diagrams on varied structures - and a bit of general conversation. The whole interview took about 2 hours and was an enjoyable, with a fairly relaxed environment.

I applied online. I interviewed at Mott MacDonald in Dec 2019
Interview
Pretty straight forward process involving a SJT and application. No cover letter however there are a number of questions to answer instead. The interview was really chilled 2:1. Spent around half an hour chatting about general engineering and what work I had done at University/placement. The questions were all strength based with one design question.
One problem with the process was that once the application had been submitted there was no way of viewing it afterwards. The 'review application' only showed contact details. This may have been a one off, but would recommend saving the application in a separate word file.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mott MacDonald (Dublin, Dublin) in Nov 2019
Interview
I applied for the role through the company's online portal and was informed about the interview around 2 weeks later. The interview was mostly strength-based, along with a few technical questions (relatively straightforward). Throughout the whole process, the interviewers were very friendly. After the strength-based questions, they explained the role in more detail and described the different projects they are currently working on. The whole interview lasted about one hour.
I received the news that I was not accepted for the position only after sending them a few follow-up emails. Despite being advised that the company offers reimbursement of travel expenses, I was never reimbursed.
