I had my interview in Mott MacDonald Cardiff Office back in 2018.
Easy and straight-forward process.
No assessment centre only a single interview.
Interviewers were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the first minutes. Interview lasted about 1 hour.
Very structured with classic strengths/weaknesses based questions, what motivates you, why you applied to the company etc. A couple of technical questions including on safety and risk but nothing requiring calculations.

why mott macdonald? and what do you know about our values
The first step involved doing many things as a group - in other words, a group exercise. Together, as a group, we did group-esque things such as group activities. Then I participated in an interview in which my behaviour was assessed in a non-technical manner - commonly referred to as an interview. Hope this helps!
