      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Multiverse (London, England) in June 2022

      Interview

The process is lengthy and you should be prepared for this from the outset. The first round is with a recruiter this is a screening round where both parties are able to access if this role is suitable. The recruiters are great and are on hand throughout to assist in the process make sure you engage with them. The second round is a role-play teach and coaching session. This is the longest of the rounds where you have to prepare and deliver content on a given topic. The key is to ensure that there is interactive elements throughout. The third round was with the program lead which is a traditional style of interview, however, they will want you to be able to recall and reflect on the feedback given in previous rounds. The final round is with the Director of Delivery. Again a very formal interview with a focus on previous rounds again how you responded to the feedback given. Remember who you've spoken to and what they have said, take notes when you're getting the feedback. Prepare questions that show you've prepared and are also interested in the direction the company is moving in. Overall a good but lengthy experience I couldn't recommend more engaging with your recruiter. They will help you prep for each round.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Multiverse (New York, NY) in Sept 2022

      Interview

I actually made an account to write about how bad this experience was. Truly the most negative, 'we need you to follow a script' interview of my entire professional career. Be prepared to role play scenarios that have no possibility of manifesting in reality. Coach-ability, one of their "pillars", is clearly meant to see how moldable, or rather, brainwashed you can potentially become working at Multiverse. You would think they would focus more on your technical knowledge and your communication abilities, but no, I was handed this absolute jargon: "pretend I am an apprentice and I come to you saying I am feeling isolated at work because my colleagues went to college and I can't relate to their conversation". Also thought it was hilarious that they end their rejection email with "We always endeavor to get back to all applications, however, due to the high volume of candidates, I'm afraid we're unable to give specific feedback at this stage." If you look on LinkedIn, you can see that only 11 people have applied to the the role through the platform in over a month. Stay classy Multiverse.

      Question 1

deeply unrealistic role-playing scenarios that would not happen in real life or reflect your ability to connect with students or allow to display your ability to teach.
