Sehr gut gelaufen.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at N26 (Berlin) in July 2020
Interview
The whole process was about 1 month, from application date to final answer.
They booked a video call screening with the recruiter, which was very nice and friendly. Standard questions around my background and motivations.
The 2nd round was a video call with the team leader and another team member.
The 3rd and final stage was a video call with 2 team members from the same department.
All stages were very smooth. They were clear to communicate what would be the next steps, every time. It was quite fast compared to any interview processes I have participated before.
I had a good feeling at all stages. The day after the last interview the recruiter sent me an email to book a video call to give feedback (without saying if it was positive or negative). So she told me on a video call that they decided to move on with another candidate that they thought was more suitable.
I liked it that they took the time to show appreciation towards the time I invested in the recruiting process, but at the same time, I have an ambiguous feeling towards it. I think I'd have preferred to have received whatever feedback via email, as it is frustrating to wait for hours and hours and get ready for a 2 minutes video call just to hear that they decided to choose another candidate. But in general, they were all polite.
