I applied online. I interviewed at NASA (New York, NY) in Jan 2016
Interview
They asked me many math questions, they want to make sure you are solid in algebra and geometry and are good enough solving brainteasers. Background check was also performed. There was a case on engine building calculation and physics
Pretty relaxed and 30 minutes long starting with some casual behavioral questions and then moving into a resume deep dive and finishing off with some technical design based questions. Overall pretty low stakes
took 2 months, have to get clearances. Overall easy if you know your stuff. Interview was two rounds. Second round was more laid back with more technical questions. dot dot dot

Question 1
Name a time you were met with a challenge how did you overcome.
I phoned over the phone, and they phoned back, by way of the phone. After phoning each other, there was a dearth of communication. I checked my spam email folder but alas nothing arrived.
