I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2012
Interview
Initially, I found out about the role via an email sent to our school mailing list. Got on a phone interview with my future manager, and we talked for about an hour. The phone interview was the primary means of screening in this case, and I was given an offer via email about a week or two later.
Smooth interview process. Behavioral-based interview. Use the STAR method. The interviewers (aka the team) were very friendly, explained the project that I would be working on if I were on board.
