I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (Charlotte, NC) in Apr 2014
Interview
Honestly, it was more like a conversation to get to know my personality.. They didn't look beyond my resume to figure out my skills. I spoke with the president, the hiring manager, the executive producer and producer of the Foreign Desk for a good 30 minutes. Very informal, relaxed-type conversation. Keep in mind, this was for an internship. Interviews are a lot of more formal when applying for a contract/full-time position.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (New York, NY) in Feb 2026
Interview
Interviewed for the Seth Myers late night show. First had a one way video. They allowed a few redos when filming submissions. Then I revived a email to do a video meeting with the intern coordinator.
1) submit your application
2) either get rejected or move on in the recruiting process to complete hirevue
3) if selected to, second round virtual interview with the team
4) may get selected for a follow-up interview (not always the case)
Fairly straightforward questions, make sure to do research on the company beforehand and be prepared. There were 4 questions asking about your experience, why you want to work for NBC, and what you're looking forward to doing if selected to work for them.
