Phone interview. The process was very informal due to the fact I was referred by another employee. I think the whole interview lasted 15 minutes. This is not the norm at Universal when it comes to more corporate types of positions. Generally HR does a pre-screen phone interview and then you meet with the department that you are applying for. Offers are made pretty quickly since the pace of business is fast.

Question 1
None. Just general questions about your qualifications.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at NBCUniversal in Apr 2022
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me to set up an initial call about a role with NBCUniversal. We spoke, and she said the team was moving quickly and would be in touch with next steps. I heard nothing for a week and followed up afterwards. Still no reply... I was essentially ignored for 2 months and then I saw the job re-posted. I reached out to the recruiter and received a generic "we went with another candidate."
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The conversation with the recruiter was pretty generic to asking about my background and experience.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (New York, NY) in July 2016
Interview
I received an email from an NBC HR rep requesting a phone interview about a week after applying online. After the phone interview, which was successful, she coordinated an in-person interview with the hiring manager at 30 Rock. I thought the interview went well--I was there an hour and we had a lot to talk about--but then nothing. I was surprised and disappointed because it felt like I would be going on to the final round. A few months later the position had been taken down. I was not contacted informing me that they had selected another candidate.
Hi there -
We apologize to hear of the lack of communication after your interview for the status of the position. Thank you for leaving this review, as it is incredibly helpful to us as we are always looking to improve our candidate experience. We hope this doesn't discourage you from applying to future positions with us.
Best of luck,
-The NBCUniversal Talent Acquisition Team
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (London, England) in Jan 2016
Interview
The HR person took two months after an SVP referral to bring me in for an interview. It was followed by another interview 2 weeks later, and a final one which was cancelled while I was in the lobby signing in to see the final interviewer.
