      Senior UX/UI Designer Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at NRMA

      Interview

Process: The first interview was friendly and straightforward. We discussed real UX problems and I had the opportunity to learn more about the company’s culture and design approach. It felt like a genuine conversation about problem solving and collaboration. I was then invited to a second, in-person interview at the Sydney office. However, when I arrived, I couldn’t reach the interviewer despite multiple calls. There was no communication from the interviewer that day, and it took about a week - after multiple followups with the hiring manager - to find out that the interview had actually been cancelled because my experience wasn’t considered the right fit for the role. Overall Impression: The first stage was positive and informative, but the lack of communication around the second interview was disappointing and wasted a lot of my time. Unfortunately, this experience reflects poorly on the NRMA as an employer and as an organisation.
