I had an interview with two guys for an AI/ML Embedded SDE role, it was a contract through an agency. I said before the interview that I don't have experience with AI/ML. They asked me to do a test task about AI/ML, I answered that I knew. The test wasn't tiny, it took around 3 hours. Sent them the solution.
The recruiter said that they expect me to tell them about NXP Semiconductors and why I love this company and want to work there. At that time, I understood that it was going wrong, but I decided to give it a shot.
The recruiter was right, after they finished asking me AI/ML questions(I repeated in the beginning of the interview that I don't have experience in that domain), they started asking me about their company, what kind of business and products they have, and what I love in this company. This was the most ridiculous interview I've ever had. This part was broken.
It felt like they wanted to feel the domination and their own high level of importance.
