I was initially contacted by a member of the company's HR team. Apparently he found my resume on my college web-server. I was called out of the blue and went through a basic impromptu phone interview. The position that was originally introduced was for a Supervisor of Logistics and Shipping, this would soon change. After this first phone interview I was set up with another phone panel interview the following week. Once I completed that I was told that they want to further pursue my interview process in person. They flew me up to South Carolina (3 stops by plane) and then a 45 min drive in a rent-a-car to the plant. I was put up onsite in their guesthouse. Upon arriving to my room there was a packet waiting for me which consisted of security agreements and an application packet (much like the one I filled out as for a bus-boy position in highschool). I thought this was unusual since I had already gone through 2, 1-2+ hour phone interviews. I filled out the packets and proceeded to the first interview. It was a panel interview and was basically the exact same as my phone interview. Even the HR representative noted that much of this was repetition! It was during this interview that I was told that the position was not a supervisor position at all, and not even in logistics but in sales! I went with the flow and after the interview I was told to meet the following morning for a plant tour and 'final round' interview. I was called in my room in the morning 1 hour before the scheduled meeting time and was told that the meeting time was now in 30 min rather than an hour. The following interview consisted of the Taiwanese sales manager and a member from HR. This interview was complete repetition for the 3rd time for a position that I never desired. When asked for expected salary the Sales Manager seemed offended when I asked for my University/Schools average salary range. I was only notified of their decision by mail 2 weeks later.
