Very frustrated after being led on during the interview process, I was asked multiple times “what it would take to make me accept this role and come onboard.” I went through a phone screen, an in person interview with the predecessor, a virtual interview with the regional president, a virtual interview with the global HR leader, and then ultimately an in person with the regional president after hours. I was told in that interview that I’d hear back early the following week - when I had not heard back within the promised timeline I then emailed. Even after that I still had to follow up AGAIN with my availability. At this point, I knew they selected a different person. My point in this post is, do better and be better. You essentially ghosted me until I begged for a response after taking my hard earned time & money to interview there. DO BETTER and do NOT lead candidates on. In the future make sure you don’t make candidates chase an answer like you made me do.
