Question 1
Will I be okay with what NDI pays considering it's a "nonprofit"?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at National Democratic Institute in July 2019
Interview
I conducted a brief preliminary interview, did a writing test, and then a two-hour interview with the program manager. Then I never heard from NDI again... no rejection and no responses to my follow up emails.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at National Democratic Institute (Washington, DC) in May 2012
Interview
There was an initial phone interview to verify language proficiency, followed by a panel interview in person. It was a generally relaxed environment with typical questions about previous experience and what the candidate felt they could bring to the work place. The interviewers were open to questions about the work place, duties to undertake, and expectations for work and travel. Salary was not discussed and a writing and translating test followed the interview.
