Two interviews. First: Director and Supervisor run interview in person. It was casual, bordering on unorganized. They weren't sure where the meeting room was, unable to provide water, ran over time.
Second interview: I was asked last minute to have a "quick call" that was supposed to last about 15 minutes. When I asked what type of discussion this would be, in hopes of preparing, I was told it was not an interview and just a casual chat. I was expecting this to be where we worked out the details of an offer. Turns out, this was an hour long phone interview that repeated many of the same topics covered in the first one. It should have been in person, and given more than 2 hours to prepare for.
Government Clearance: I received an offer a little over 3 weeks after this interview. I had to go and get finger prints done for a Government of Canada Reliability Clearance. During the wait, I was told I was getting an offer, but was unable to get anything in writing until the results came back. Once I was cleared I received the offer, with 4 days notice of start date.
Overall: Absolutely terrible process with poor communication. This is a reflection of the work experience there.
