I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at National Library Board (Singapore)
Interview
Applied through their online portal, received a call 1-2 weeks later informing me that I was shortlisted and invited to go for interview, needed to confirm immediately if I will be attending. Received an interview invitation email with more details, stated to reach 30 minutes before interview for verification of supporting documents (but later found out that they do not really care if you did not reach 30 minutes earlier).
Interview was on a weekday morning at their headquarter in Marine Parade Community Centre. Candidates were arranged to enter the interview room, based on who reached their office first.
You will be interviewed by 5 higher management staff and 2 HR staff.
Questions were fired quite rapidly and randomly and some of the interviewers were bordering on being rude, which I find it surprising for a government organisation. When I was talking about my strengths, one of the female interviewers kept snickering. A few of them laughed knowingly among themselves and almost all were using their laptops while I was still talking. Quite disrespectful.

Question 1
No difficult question, just that they will cut you off while you are still answering.
