I arrived 20 minutes prior to my interview, resume in hand, & was asked by the receptionist to fill out a 4 page application that covered the same info that was on the resume I had previously submitted to them online. I turned it back in to the receptionist at the time my interview was to begin. 30 minutes later someone finally came to speak with me. I had 6 interviews total & was there for over 2 hours. They do not warn you of how many people you will be interviewing with or that it is a lengthy interview because you basically have to get through each person. If the 1st person likes you they will go get the 2nd. If the 2nd person likes you, they go get the 3rd, so on & so forth. So keep this in mind as it was very time consuming. The people were very friendly & I had a ton of questions for them and they all answered them thoroughly. The final interview is the CEO who is hard to read but don't be intimidated. They're just looking for the right person for his company. After going home & thinking about it I decided the job wouldn't be right for me as they only give you 5 vacation days & you are forced to take them at the end of the year when the office & shop shut down. If you are approved to take them before that, you will be unpaid for that week at the end of the year. Also, there are no sick days & they would not work with me on having to pick up my little one from school once a week. They also wouldn't allow me to give my job 2 weeks notice. There is a lot of opportunity for overtime & it seemed that it was encouraged & possibly required. They do classroom & hands on training so that you are prepared for the job. Seems like an open door, team environment. Fast paced & challenging. I received a call back & they left a message. When I returned the call they were not available to speak so I left a message asking to remove my name from consideration. I guess the message was not relayed because they called again & offered me the job & before I could decline they told me when I would start, that they wanted me to come in beforehand to fill out paperwork, do a drug test, etc. When I was able to speak I told them that I would be declining the offer. They asked what was causing me to decline & I told them that the lack of vacation time & flexibility on picking up my little one from school were not going to work for me. They were disappointed but wished me luck. Seems like a decent company to work for, but keep vacation time, overtime & the lack of career opportunities in mind. Also, I was informed it was a high turnover position so that may be a red flag.
