Interview
I applied for the Replenishment Analyst Position at Nature's Way Farms, and my interview experience left me with mixed feelings. The initial phone discussion, which lasted around 5 minutes, was surprisingly brief and lacked any questions related to my background in data or the specifics of the job role. After two weeks, I received an invitation for an in-person interview. Unfortunately, my attempts to communicate with them before the interview were met with silence, which left me feeling somewhat disheartened. The in-person interview involved three interviewers, none of whom appeared well-versed in data and analytics. Communication proved challenging due to the interviewers' strong accents, which I had not anticipated. This made it difficult to grasp their poorly-phrased questions. One interviewer, Bruce, came across as condescending and dismissive of my qualifications, making me feel as though I was wasting his time. He even questioned my knowledge of data analysis, expressing concerns about the potential risk of hiring me. I tried to explain the personal challenges I was facing at the time, with my mother in the hospital and my brother's mental health struggles, but he showed little empathy. Overall, my interview experience at Nature's Way Farms was less than ideal. The lack of communication prior to the interview, coupled with the unprepared interviewers and Bruce's dismissive attitude, left me feeling that this might not be the right fit for me professionally and culturally.
