I had been applying at Neo for quite some time as my values aligned with their mission. After finally getting an interview, I had great conversations with HR, the Team Lead, and a member of Senior Leadership. However, the technical interview with two developers was easy but lacked any real structure (the task was to code/design a bank transaction). I eventually received a rejection without much clarity. It appears they may be prioritizing high-volume recruitment via a Vancouver based agency (VanHack) that sources talent from South America, which makes me question their commitment to the local candidate pool I was so eager to join.
