The first stage was a call with a recruiter, the second with the hiring manager, and the third was coding challenge I had to resolve at home.
The recruiter and the hiring manager seemed friendly. My main concern about the company was that it has negative reviews on Glassdoor and had lay-offs in the past. I asked the hiring manager about the above, but he wasn't certain about this.
Surprisingly now I see a few more good reviews were added about the company, maybe they asked employees to add them, who knows.
I was rejected after the coding challenge, and didn't even get a chance to explain the implementation. But this might be for good, we didn't spend any more of each other's time.
Overall, this was a bizarre process for me. After the second round, I convinced myself that they were interested in me, but this idea was quickly shattered after they rejected me once I submitted the code.
